On April 29, the prestigious Yacht Club of Monaco became a corner of Peru during an elegant charity dinner organized by the Association Monégasque Ibero-Americans (AMI). The evening, dedicated to highlighting Peru gastronomy and culture, attracted important figures from Europe's diplomatic, institutional, and social spheres.
Chef Lourdes Pluvinage was in charge of transporting attendees to the heart of Peruvian cuisine with a menu that paid tribute to the authentic flavors of the country, using ingredients from the coast, Andes, and jungle. At his side, mixologist Christophe Pluvinage was captivated by Pisco sours that evoked the essence of most traditional Peruvian celebrations.
The ambience was carefully decorated with visual references to the Inca legacy and the landscapes of the Andes, under the artistic direction of MariPili Gómez Restrepo. All this contributed to a multi-sensory experience that awakened interest in discovering Peru through its flavors, colors, and symbolism.
Led by Sheramin Beauseigneur, president of AMI, and representatives from several Latin American and European countries, the gala was also a space for solidarity, combining art, cuisine, and social causes. The event was attended by personalities such as Prince Albert's chamberlain, Vincent Floreani; Peru's ambassador to France and Monaco, Rolando Ruiz Rosas; and the director of Promperu in Europe, Rosario Pajuelo.
Peru gastronomy, more than a brand
One of the most emotional moments was the reading of the message of the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Desilú León, who highlighted the value of this type of event to strengthen Peru's image in the world, not only as a tourist destination, but also as a country of great cultural and human wealth.
This celebration not only raised funds to help communities in vulnerable situations but also raised the profile of the Peru Brand in one of the most exclusive settings in Europe, opening the doors to new travelers who dream of exploring our country.
