We had the best time on our Choquequirao trek. Our Guide was Sebastian and we were accompanied by the great chefs Beto and Moises as well as the horse woman Rosa. We did the trek in 5 days and had plenty of time to explore the Inca city. The hike itself is very beautiful, yet sometimes challenging due to the steep passages in and out of the canyon. Sebastian was very knowledgeable and could share a lot of facts about the the environment and the history. The rest of the crew did also an fantastic job. The meals were extremely delicious. Additionally, eating vegetarian wasn’t a problem at all. We can highly recommend the Choquequirao Trek, if you want to do a trekking trip without tourists masses. TreXperience is the perfect company. We can only recommend everyone from the crew.
View full reviewMe and my girlfriend Tilly went on the 5 day Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu with Trexperience starting on the 15th October. Our guide was Alex who was amazing. He was helpful, knowledgeable, approachable and most of all had a fantastic sense of humour. His English was fantastic and his knowledge on the mountains, the history and the culture of the region was fascinating and we bombarded him with questions throughout the hike. In addition to this, another member of the Trexperience team that made our trip special was Ismael, our chef. Every meal was tasty, filling, fresh and had local influence, everything got finished! The actual trek was amazing. The route we took brought us through jaw dropping landscapes, which could change dramatically in a just a few hours of walking. From standing at the bottom of a glacier one afternoon, to navigating through the humid cloud forests, this hike had everything. The hike itself is so beautiful and interesting, at some points we even forgot what the purpose was - to reach Machu Picchu. Every night we would reach a new and different accommodation. Cosy bell tents tucked a foot of a mountain, trendy Andean huts nested into a cloudy hillside and most impressive of all was the final campsite, which allowed us to wake up to views of Machu Picchu itself - we thought we were still dreaming. I don’t need to talk about Machu Picchu, as it speaks for itself and the memory of being there will be engraved for a lifetime, but the memories of the trek, which were created by Trexperience, Alex, Ismael the amazing team of horsemen and porters, will be up there with the destination.
View full reviewIt’s hard to put into words how extraordinary our luxury Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu truly was. From the moment we were met in Cusco by our guides and support team, we knew this was going to be something special, not just a hike, but a deeply moving, flawlessly orchestrated journey through history, nature, and culture. Every detail had been thought of. Our guides were knowledgeable, full of warmth and humor, weaving stories of Incan engineering, ancient rituals, and mountain legends into each day’s trek. They had a sense for when to pause for photos, when to rest, and when to simply stand in silence as the clouds rolled across the Andes. The staff, the team of porters, chefs, and support crew were nothing short of heroic. Somehow, while we hiked with light packs, they would race ahead to set up an immaculate campsite! Reaching Machu Picchu on the final day felt like the culmination of something much greater than a hike, it was a pilgrimage. Our guides secured the perfect timing to enter through the Sun Gate just as the first light hit the citadel. This journey exceeded every expectation of comfort, care, and connection. The professionalism and heart of every guide, porter, chef, and organizer turned a challenging trek into an unforgettable, soul-stirring experience. If you’re dreaming of the Inca Trail and want to do it in absolute style and comfort, this is the team to trust.
View full reviewWe did the 2-day Inca Trail hike with TreXperience and had a wonderful overall experience. The hike itself was beautiful but quite strenuous, so be prepared for a challenge. The porters were amazing, they worked so hard and prepared delicious meals that perfectly accommodated our dietary restrictions. Our guide, Katy, led us along the trail and helped coordinate everything smoothly.

We had a private tour with Rene and team for a one day trip to Rainbow Mountain. It’s a long day with a very early start as the mountain is 3 hours from Cusco. Rene and his team took great care of us very well. Starting with breakfast before we ascending and then after we returned to an amazing lunch in a tent. Rainbow mountain is stunning. It’s a challenge with the elevation but just take it slow. An amazing day. We are glad we did it
