Social Commitment
At TreXperience, we believe that tourism is deeply connected to the local communities where it takes place. The well-being of these communities guides how we plan each journey, collaborate with our team members, and build relationships with the Andean communities along our routes.
As a local operator, we aim for tourism to bring tangible benefits to the areas connected to our routes. This includes creating employment opportunities, fostering community development, providing support, and preserving both cultural and natural heritage.
By doing this, we enable every traveler to explore Cusco more consciously, knowing that a portion of the value generated from their trip remains within the region's high-altitude communities. This supports local development initiatives, training programs, and improvement projects.
100% Local Tour Operator
The successful operation of our tours depends on the knowledge and hard work of local people. Our team includes office staff, tour guides, trekking cooks, porters, and muleteers from Cusco and high-altitude Andean communities. Each person plays an essential role: our office team organizes the details of the trip, our guides accompany travelers while sharing Peru’s history and culture, our cooks prepare meals along the trekking routes, and our porters and muleteers make the journey easier by carrying heavier luggage and shared equipment between campsites.
Working with local talent also means travelers receive information based on the experience, customs, and knowledge of the people who live in the region, without unnecessary intermediaries.
At the same time, tourism creates economic opportunities for the families of our staff, porters, and muleteers who live in remote high-altitude communities.

Supporting Education in High-Altitude Communities
At TreXperience, we believe that a journey can also create new opportunities for children in the communities where our tours take place. For this reason, we support education in rural areas, where many schools lack essential resources such as books, computers, internet access, and basic learning materials. We provide school supplies, educational resources, and technology to help students learn in better conditions and keep their dreams alive. Every notebook, book, and computer represents a chance to move forward. As travelers explore Peru, their visits also contribute to providing valuable tools for the future of local generations.
Supporting education means creating lifelong opportunities for individuals.
- In the community of Qelqanqa, for example, we delivered educational materials and shared meaningful moments with the students. Experiences like this remind us of the importance of growing together with local communities.
Our goal is to help children study with greater confidence, expand their knowledge, and look toward the future with hope. When tourism and education move forward together, every visit can become a shared opportunity.

Christmas Campaigns in Andean Communities
Every Christmas, TreXperience visits Andean communities to share more than just gifts. In Cachiccata, Paru Paru, Wacahuasi, Lares, and Ocongate, we provide warm clothing, food, school supplies, and toys to children and families. These activities express our gratitude to the communities that are part of our routes and history. The celebrations bring together team members, travelers, and local residents, fostering moments of connection, unity, and joy. While gifts may meet immediate needs, they also remind us that tourism should honor the people who protect the trails, Andean traditions, and landscapes we admire.
Through gatherings with hot chocolate, games, and shared smiles, we create special moments with the people in the Andes and demonstrate that responsible tourism can also benefit their communities.
However, our mission goes beyond temporary donations. We aim to collaborate closely with these communities, listen to their priorities, and support projects that can provide long-term benefits.

Respect for Andean Traditions and Cultural Heritage
Traveling through the Andes offers an opportunity to experience vibrant cultures that are very much alive. Our guides, porters, and muleteers are not just members of a tour team; they also share their insights into local history, customs, languages, and the relationship that Andean communities maintain with the land, known as Pachamama.
On our tours, Andean culture is not simply a tourist attraction. We promote meaningful encounters grounded in respect, listening, and learning. We encourage travelers to follow the guidance of our guides and respect the communities they visit. It’s important to honor local spaces and appreciate the value of their traditions without disrupting their everyday lives. By doing so, each visit can become a genuine and respectful exchange.

Environmental Sustainability
Our ethical, legal, and practical commitment to protecting and preserving the environment where we were born and raised is non-negotiable. As a leading tour operator specializing in nature, adventure, and trekking experiences in the Cusco region, we recognize that tourism can negatively impact the local ecosystems. Therefore, we work hard to minimize and, when necessary, mitigate the adverse effects of tourism in the areas where we operate through the following actions.
Protecting Trails, Archaeological Sites, and Natural Areas
The landscapes, trails, and Inca archaeological sites are crucial components of every trekking experience. However, they are also delicate environments that need constant care. We therefore advocate for the responsible use of trekking routes, such as the Inca Trail and the Salkantay Trek, emphasizing the importance of adhering to access regulations and following the guidance provided by authorities, local communities, and our guides.
TreXperience complies with the regulations set by government authorities responsible for popular trekking routes, including the Inca Trail, Salkantay Trek, and Choquequirao. This commitment includes using only authorized campsites, implementing strict waste management policies during each trek, and adhering to additional measures designed to protect these routes

Waste Reduction and Low-Impact Practices
We are dedicated to reducing waste before, during, and after every trip. Our team receives training in the principles of reducing, reusing, and recycling materials, as well as in protecting natural areas and archaeological sites. These workshops involve guides, porters, and local communities along popular routes such as the Inca Trail, Salkantay, and Choquequirao.
Additionally, we participate in clean-up activities, waste management workshops, water conservation programs, and reforestation campaigns.
- Our commitment is reflected in tangible actions, such as our involvement in a clean-up campaign organized by SERNANP on December 9 and 10, 2025, along the Soraypampa–Paukarkancha section of Route 6 on the Inca Trail. During these two days, we removed solid waste from several areas along the route.
Initiatives like these help preserve the trails for local communities, trekking teams, and future visitors.
During our tours, we strive to use resources responsibly, keep campsites clean, and prevent waste from remaining on the trails. We promote water conservation and actively participate in clean-up and reforestation efforts. Our goal is simple: to enjoy nature while minimizing our impact on the places we visit.
