TreXperience brings Christmas to children in remote High-Andean communities
Distance should never stand in the way of bringing a smile to a child at Christmas, especially in rural communities far from Cusco. In these areas, access to food, clothing, and basic necessities is extremely limited. Many children live in poverty and spend their time balancing schoolwork with assisting their parents in farming or herding. During this season, they also face freezing temperatures without adequate warm clothing.
At TreXperience, we believe every child deserves the chance to play, laugh, and hold on to hope for a better future. That’s why we organize Christmas campaigns each year in some of the most remote high-Andean communities near Cusco. Our entire team comes together to deliver warm clothing, toys, hot chocolate, and panettone, while also planning games that allow us to spend meaningful time with the children.
As always, every traveler who chooses TreXperience becomes part of this important work. We invite you to learn more about the Christmas campaigns that have shaped this initiative over the years.
A Christmas filled with games and laughter in Cuyo Grande and Tucsa, Pisac
In December 2025, the TreXperience team visited the communities of Cuyo Grande and Tucsa in Pisac, located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The team shared games and moments of hope with more than 400 children from low-income families. The toy giveaway was the most eagerly awaited part of the day, and the children received their gifts with excitement and joy.
This visit also allowed our team to connect with local families who live far from the main urban centers of the Sacred Valley. Members of the TreXperience team served hot chocolate and panettone to both the children and the adults in attendance. Following this, Santa Claus and the Grinch led a series of games at the community sports center in Cuyo Grande.
The visit was filled with friendly conversations, smiles, and plenty of fun. Beyond simply distributing toys, TreXperience aimed to spend quality time with the children, listen to the community, and recognize the families who live in the destinations where we work.

Santa Claus and the Grinch brought Christmas to Paru Paru, Mau Cau, Pampa Corral, and Patacancha communities
In 2024, TreXperience decided to bring Christmas to as many children as possible. Our team worked for several months to plan a special Christmas campaign, bringing together children from Paru Paru, Mau Cau, Pampa Corral, and Patacancha communities. The goal was to create a joyful day for them.
The special day began in Paru Paru, the designated meeting point, where Santa Claus, the Grinch, and a colorful Christmas gnome arrived unexpectedly, bringing joy to the children. After a short performance, the distribution of gifts began.
The gathering also included hot chocolate and panettone, along with special prizes prepared by our team for the winners of each game and activity organized for the children.
The day ended with grateful hugs and a promise to continue bringing happiness to children who need it most during the Christmas season.

Warm Clothing and Christmas Joy in Ñucchuyoc, Huacahuasi, and Patacancha
In 2023, TreXperience organized a traveling Christmas campaign across three high-Andean communities where they operate: Ñucchuyoc, Huacahuasi, and Patacancha. The goal was to bring games, warm clothing, toys, and a joyful celebration to over 50 children.
The day began in Ñucchuyoc, near the starting point of the popular Lares Trek. Santa Claus and his Christmas gnome brought laughter, entertainment, hot chocolate, and panettone for the children.
Upon arriving in Huacahuasi, the TreXperience team shared hot chocolate with the children and distributed toys and warm clothing to protect them from the cold. This support was especially valuable for families living in such a remote area. Naturally, there was also plenty of time for games and fun.
At the end of the day, Santa Claus and his gnome continued to the Patacancha community in Ollantatytambo, where the team had prepared something special: a football match. After the game, the children received more toys and enjoyed another serving of hot chocolate and panettone. Laughter and excitement filled the community. The mothers and local authorities joined in the celebration and helped prepare a second round of hot chocolate for everyone to share.
These moments inspire us to keep moving forward.

A heartwarming Christmas in Cachiccata, Paru Paru, Wacahuasi, Lares, and Ocongate
In 2022, TreXperience brought the joy of Christmas to children in Cachiccata, Paru Paru, Wacahuasi, Lares, and Ocongate. These communities are far from larger towns, face extremely cold weather, and have limited access to basic resources. Many families struggle to meet their daily needs, and children are often the most affected.
After learning more about these challenges, the TreXperience team organized one of its first Christmas campaigns. Staff members from across the company worked together to purchase toys, warm clothing, school supplies, food, and other essential items for the children.
Each community received a special day of its own. The donations were accompanied by games and time spent with the children and their families. The campaign was not only about giving out essential items; it also created opportunities to come together, take part in activities, and celebrate Christmas as a community.
Happiness gives children hope, and hope should always have a place in every child’s heart. TreXperience remains committed to supporting new opportunities and a brighter future for children in high-Andean communities.
