Our Certifications
TreXperience is a team in constant motion, always changing for the better. We understand the dynamic world we live in, and we move with it, evolving our internal processes, improving our customer service techniques, and strengthening our social actions to improve the quality of life of our local community. In this way, we are constantly training to achieve these goals and continue to be a sustainable, socially responsible local company.
Throughout our history, we have received periodic training, refresher courses, and certifications that validate this constant improvement. We want to share with you all our certifications, proof of our commitment to grow in a constantly changing world, to be at the forefront of our travelers’ desires and dreams, without forgetting the comprehensive development of our suppliers.

TourCert
TreXperience was certified by TourCert gGmbH, a German non-profit championing “travel for tomorrow”, as a sustainable tour operator. This recognition covers policies and traveler services, showing a path of improvement. Thus, TreXperience reduces its footprint on routes and sites, including the Inca Trail, by reusing materials and managing food waste.
Guided by experts in tourism, science, and environment, TourCert helps operators turn sustainability into action, and sustainability is the TreXperience’s core principle. Our actions focus on high-traffic destinations and local communities, aiming to lower our impact and strengthen nature protection in this shared world. As a specialist in outdoor and nature experiences, our team applies clear policies, training, and steps that can be measured and improved over time.

CO2 Neutral Website Certificate
TreXperience has earned the “Huella de Carbono Perú” recognition and the CO2 Neutral Website label. Both milestones reflect a clear path: measure our emissions, cut what we can, and compensate the rest with verified projects. We mapped fuel and energy use, trained our team, and set yearly targets to reduce impacts on nature and communities. The CO2 Neutral Website program keeps our online footprint in check and funds climate action.
This is not a finish line; it’s a steady commitment to travel that cares. Every trek and every small choice adds up. Together, we protect the places we love for those who come next. We will share progress and invite travelers, refill bottles, respect trails, and support local jobs. Step by step, we turn intentions into action and raise the bar for responsible adventures in Peru now.

Safe Travels
The international “Safe Travels” seal, issued by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), recognizes destinations and tourism businesses that follow health and hygiene protocols based on World Health Organization (WHO) guidance. Its purpose is to help travelers identify places that meet accepted safety and quality standards, both in Peru's departments and its institutions, as each region and business adapts to the new normal.
TreXperience complies with each of the health and safety regulations imposed by the WTTC, not only during its experiences or tours, but also in its internal processes. This way, you, the traveler, have every guarantee of being in a safe environment in terms of health, from our tour guides and drivers, passing by our porters and trail cooks, up to the accounting office's collaborators.

Certificate of Registration
As a responsible local tour operator, TreXperience has all the legal permits, certifications, and authorizations to operate in Peru and throughout the Cusco region. Proof of this is TreXperience's registration in the National Directory of Qualified Tourism Service Providers by the Regional Management of Foreign Trade, Tourism, and Crafts of Cusco (GERCETUR).
GERCETUR Cusco leads regional policy for foreign trade, tourism, and handicrafts. It promotes markets, protects heritage, supports artisans, improves service quality, and drives sustainable growth across the region. This certification, in addition to the Operating License granted by the Municipality of Cusco, is a sufficient endorsement to declare TreXperience legal and fully guaranteed for the outstanding development of its tourism activities in the Cusco region.

Authorization of Operations
The Inca Trail, as with other natural areas protected by the Peruvian government, requires special authorization to visit and/or exploit them. This authorization is issued by the National Service of Natural Areas Protected by the Peruvian State (SERNANP) to a select group of local tour operators (Cusco), who previously had to meet demanding requirements in the areas of operations, occupational health, and social responsibility.
TreXperience, as the leader in trekking experiences on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu throughout the region, has held this permit since 2024. Through Directorial Resolution No. 183-2024-SERNANP-DGANP, the Peruvian government has authorized TreXperience to develop tourist experiences along the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in all its forms, offering experiences that combine nature and culture.

Certification of the Application of Good Practices
In 2024, TreXperience received MINCETUR’s Certification for the Implementation of Good Practices, a national seal under Peru’s National Tourist Quality Plan (CALTUR). The award recognizes tour operators that apply the Good Practices Application System (SABP) to raise service quality and care for travelers, communities, and the environment. We built clear procedures, trained our team, and measured results across operations and field services, from campsite hygiene to supplier standards.
This certification encourages continuous improvement and responsible tourism in high-value destinations. It also places TreXperience among companies acknowledged by Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism for meeting rigorous quality criteria and turning policy into daily action. We will keep improving and sharing our progress.
