From this vantage point, you can not only admire the majestic Colca Canyon from a different angle than the famous Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, but you can also contemplate the verdant valleys of Sangalle, Cinillo, Chuwirca, Tapay, and San Juan de Chuccho. This new viewpoint is part of an initiative by Autocolca to promote sustainable tourism in Cabanaconde, Arequipa, and encourage travelers to stay longer, exploring its attractions. In addition to Achachihua, improvements are being made to sites such as the Calimarca archaeological site and the Antesana viewpoint, famous for offering views of the pre-Incan terraces and the Cabanita cornfields.
