Empowering Andean Women in Peru | TreXperience

Women's Empowerment at TreXperience

At TreXperience, we promote the professional development and participation of women in the tourism industry. Their talent, experience, and commitment are essential to the planning and operation of every tour and excursion we offer in Peru.

Our goal is to provide meaningful opportunities for professional growth, allowing every woman involved in our services and projects to build her own career path, strengthen her independence, and take on new roles and responsibilities without limitations based on gender.

Women's Participation at TreXperience

Women at TreXperience are involved in every stage of the journey, from the first contact with travelers dreaming of visiting Peru to the end of their experience and their return home. Whether assisting travelers, providing travel advice, coordinating operations, or working in the field, they contribute to delivering a high-quality service at every step.

Equal Opportunities

Some roles within adventure tourism have traditionally been dominated by men. At TreXperience, we work to create greater access to these opportunities and recognize that professional ability depends not on gender, but on the preparation, experience, and commitment of each member of our team.

The inclusion of female guides, porters, cooks, coordinators, and travel advisors is not a concession, but a recognition of their knowledge, skills, and ability to take on these responsibilities with professionalism.

Economic Independence and Impact on Andean Communities

Access to employment and meaningful opportunities for professional growth helps strengthen women's economic independence while creating positive benefits for their families. This impact can be seen both in Cusco and in the Andean communities connected to our adventure routes, social projects, and traditional tours.

A great example is the talented women weavers of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, whom our travelers can meet during the Lares Trek and in Chinchero as part of our Sacred Valley tour.

Greater participation of women in tourism also helps create more professional role models for girls and young women in both urban and rural communities.

Professional Growth and Female Leadership

At TreXperience, we encourage professional growth by strengthening skills and supporting women's active participation in decision-making, as well as in setting guidelines and goals. Our female leaders bring new perspectives, enrich our management, and strengthen communication among everyone who forms part of our team.

We remain committed to gender equality and women's empowerment by promoting a tourism industry that creates opportunities for women to grow and develop professionally while inspiring girls and young women to build their own future careers.
