We had two wonderful days! Our guides were Amadeo and Rodi. We really loved their attitude, the knowledge and sense of humour of Amadeo. The views during the hike were amazing, the food was delicious and the arranged accommodation was also quite nice. I would definitely recommend the trip!
View full reviewThis was hands down the best tour I went on during my three weeks in Peru. The booking process and communication with the agency were both super smooth and easy. They always responded quickly when I reached out to them. We were so lucky to have José as our guide. He made the trip fun and really interesting. He made sure that the walking speed suited everyone in the group and shared lots of interesting facts about the Quechua people, Machu Picchu and the surrounding nature. The breakfasts and lunches served were delicious – a big thank you to the kitchen team. Another advantage of this trip was that we entered Machu Picchu at around 4 pm, after most of the crowds had left. This gave us the chance to take pictures and enjoy the scenery in peace. The hotel and dinner in Aguas Calientes were both good too. I also very much enjoyed the guided tour of Machu Picchu on the second day, when José shared even more information with us. Once again, thank you to José, who went above and beyond to make this trip special for us!

View full reviewReview of the 5-Day Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu + Vistadome Train The Salkantay Trek was undoubtedly an impressive adventure, but what truly made this tour extraordinary was the wonderful group of participants and the outstanding team of guides, cooks, and porters. First, I’d like to commend all three guides, who did an outstanding job throughout the tour. On the third day, our group was split up, and we were lucky enough to be accompanied by David. David was simply extraordinary and exceeded our expectations in every way. With his warm personality, sense of humor, and infectious enthusiasm, he made every single day special. He was not just a guide, but a companion, motivator, and friend all at once. With his fascinating stories and the passion with which he spoke about Peru, he truly immersed us in the country’s culture and traditions. David didn’t just lead this tour—he turned it into an unforgettable experience that will stay with us forever. An equally big compliment goes to the cooks. What they accomplished day after day under the demanding conditions along the trek was simply incredible. The quality, variety, and presentation of the meals were at a level that many restaurants can barely match. After hours of hiking, we were surprised every time with fantastic food, and we kept wondering how such dishes were even possible in the middle of the mountains. We were also particularly impressed by the many thoughtful details that went far beyond what we expected. Hot water bottles for the cold nights, a cozy campfire under the starry sky, and marshmallows to roast created unforgettable moments and showed just how much dedication the team puts into caring for its guests. I also have the utmost respect for the porters. Their daily efforts are almost impossible to put into words. They perform grueling physical labor under challenging conditions and yet always ensure that everything runs smoothly. Without their dedication, a tour like this would not be possible. Their hard work, professionalism, and endurance deserve the highest praise. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for this unique experience. For me, the Salkantay Trek was not just a hike, but an adventure full of special encounters, impressive experiences, and unforgettable memories. I can wholeheartedly recommend this tour.
View full reviewAlthough this was a physically demanding trip, it was one of the best experiences of my life. Abe, Wilbur and Alex were patient, kind and caring the food was amazing and the accommodated my vegetarian request, which was really very nice. Thank you for making this ship available.
View full reviewWhile the tour was organized well on paper, it didnt turn out to be very well planned. Pick up for the sacred valley tour was slightly late. Then we spent a lot of time at the alpaca farms, specially at the store. Rest of the stops were very rushed. There was no need to stop at the silver store. We made it to Ollaytantambo only by 5 pm, that too after running for around 1.5 km . We couldnt really visit this archeological site. The first day turned out to be very hectic, though we didnt spend much time at any of the spots. Hotel in Aguas Calientas (Ferre) was well below average. The linens and towels had a smell. Room also had a smell. Next day, we started early for Machu Pichu. While the tour of Machu Pichu itself was ok, the return train journey was booked at random, leading to some of us spending extra time in Aguas Calientas and returning to Cusco only around 8 pm. Overall, I would recommend not to focus too much on the shops, but rather on the stops which is what all of us have booked the tour for. Also given we were very rushed in Ollaytantambo, there was no information provided for that site.
View full reviewThis was a magic experience, from the booking to saying goodbye to everyone in our group Trexperience made the whole process easy and enjoyable. Day one was a highlight particularly when going through the sun gate and seeing Machu Picchu for the first time. José our guide was great, very knowledgeable, relaxed and looked after us well. Would recommend Trexperience for sure
View full reviewHad such an incredible time on this trip, the guides were all amazing, special shoutout to Roger, Elias and Wilbur. They made the entire trip even better. Phenomenal views, great people and the food was incredible. Did this solo and couldn’t recommend more!

From 13 July to 23 July, we travelled around Peru with the tour operator TreXperience. It’s a Peruvian company based in Cusco. Let’s say straight away that the company is excellent and everything was organised as well as could possibly be. We found the company ourselves online. We got in touch with them via email. We then kept in touch via WhatsApp. We set out our preferences for the itinerary covering the Inca Trails and Lake Titicaca. In response, we received detailed proposals and options. All aspects were open to discussion and could be changed, including in response to circumstances and at the last minute. The entire tour programme was put together very flexibly, taking our wishes and preferences into account and tailored specifically to our needs. We flew from Europe and booked our international flights ourselves. We also booked our domestic flights within Peru ourselves, following the tour operator’s advice. All other tickets (for attractions, trains and buses) were included in the tour price (except for the ticket to the Rainbow Mountains – Mount Vinicunca or Palcayo). We recommend visiting the Rainbow Mountains at Palcayo (fewer crowds, the same altitude, views that are just as good, and a much easier ascent to 5,000 metres). All the hotels were 5-star and the service was excellent. All transfers were on time and included in the tour price. All the guides were absolutely wonderful, knowledgeable and helpful. They spoke English fluently. They offered assistance, gave helpful advice and, without exception, left us with fond memories; we remember them all with gratitude and appreciation for their work. We would particularly like to mention our manager, Gabriela Conde, who oversaw the entire trip, was always in touch and virtually accompanied us throughout the journey. Her exceptional kindness, assistance with every matter and attention to detail – we have never encountered service like this anywhere else before. In our view, the price of the tour fully met our expectations, and at no point were any additional payments required. Tips are welcome, and we were always happy to give them, as all the company’s staff undoubtedly deserved them. We recommend TreXperience for organising your trip to Peru. M&O.
