This was an amazing experience! I couldn’t ask for anything more. Our tour guide Monica Calderón was amazing. She was so knowledgeable. It was even able to describe the flora and Fana of the surrounding areas as well as the history. She was also incredibly kind and patient and very attentive to all of the members of the tour. She really was fantastic.
View full reviewI travelled with my daughter on this amazing adventure with Marco as our guide, chef balbino and amazing porter crew. logistics was perfect, from hotel pick-up to hotel drop off, exactly as stated on the tin. our guide, Marco, was siper knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I was literally enthralled by his historical stories of the Inca civilisation throughout the journey, with loads of laughs and quirky explanations in English. despite the tough trek over multiple passes, the trip was broken up into bitesize chunks with loads of food at each stage I actually don't know how the chef did it. but I think we ate more than we worked off. I loved the sites along the way, the new friends we forged and the opportunity to check out of regular life for a magic 4 day journey. there were few downsides. some of the toilets were grim, but to be expected and this was the same for all trekkers. the porters made the whole trip possible. they worked relentlessly preparing everything at each camp site. running ahead so that when. we arrived. the whole place was set-up. ready to go. bravo to the porters.

View full reviewVery good organised 2 day tour to Sacred valley & Machu Picchu, everything was clear and in time. Knowledgeable, professional guides. Wanted to say special thank you to our guide Eddie Puma and the team who were not only high professionals but also were very responsive when we encountered a personal issue with a forgotten bag, they worked hard and managed to get our bag back to a different city before our flight in just a few hours Thank you so much guys, best luck in what you do! Highly recommended

View full reviewWe had a wonderful visit to the Amazon and stay at the Inkaterra ecotourism lodge Inkaterra is in a National Reserve, a 20 minute boat trip from the Peruvian regional capital town of Puerto Maldonado down the wide Madre de Dios river. The lodge is completely in the rainforest, with most accommodation in cabins. It is fully catered with all meals provided. Rooms in the cabins have just basic amenities: water, toilets, shower, overhead fan, but very clean and comfortable. Power is not on at night or mid-afternoon. The highlights of the trip are the guided tours of various locations nearby: Evening and afternoon jungle walks around trails near the lodge; a canoe trip around Lake Sandoval; climbing 40 metre towers and treetop rope and plank bridges high in the forest canopy; and morning canoe trips in a narrow winding lagoon near the lodge. Our local guide, Dagaur was fantastic - born and raised in a native settlement, he knew all the plants, birds, animals and insects: their locations, habits, medicinal uses, etc. On every trip our guide was able to spot local fauna, point them out, help take photographs, etc.. The list of what we saw in the jungles was amazing: a 3-toed sloth high in the trees, many caiman, agoutii, numerous birds and insects, plants such as giant ficus, cacao, and a "walking palm". Our guide was fluent in English and a trained eco-guide. TreXperience recommended the trip and organized all the transportation to/from our starting accommodation in Cusco to arrival after the trip in Lima. The whole trip was far less expensive than expected. TreXperience were great both before the trip (explaining options, making recommendations) online; then during the trip working with Inkaterra. Generally they use WhatsApp, as most folks seem to do in Peru, as it just requires Internet access, not a mobile phone access which can be expensive.
View full reviewWe had a wonderful visit to Machu Picchu. Our guides, Freddy and Sam were great. Provided local knowledge and insights (plants, birds; history) and were with us the whole day. We had two guides as Carolyn my wife went on Route 2 (the "classic" tour of the ruins); whereas I went on the Machu Picchu Mountain route 1a ( a strenuous 3 hr climb) for the views. The guides were fluent in English. TreXperience organized all the transportation, which was a bit complex as we were staying in a rural house near Ollantaytambo, had our luggage with us as we were going to Cusco that evening after Machu Picchu.. TreXperience were great both before the trip (explaining options, making recommendations) online; then during the trip working around transportation changes, etc. Generally they use WhatsApp, as most folks seem to do in Peru, as it just requires Internet access, not a mobile phone access which can be expensive.

I can’t say enough about this trip. Elvis, Junior, & Alan were amazing. My girlfriend & I had issues on the first day of the hike, her knee was injured & I was having issues with the altitude. We had to turn around the 2nd day but they handled it so well for us! Elvis sent Junior back down with us & booked us a hotel at Ollantaytambo & arranged everything so we could still meet our 18 person group at the Sun Gate for the classic Machu Picchu photo. I thought by turning around we would lose that special moment but they made sure even with our health issues we made it! Also, what only the guides knew was I was going to propose at that exact classic spot. Elvis coordinated it so my girlfriend had no idea & made an awesome video & photos of me proposing. These guys felt like family by the time this trip was complete. And I cannot write a review about the Inca Trail hike without talking about the porters. These guys are machines, I’ve never seen anyone work harder. Carrying almost 50lbs, zooming past the hikers to set up camp & make all the meals for us before we arrive. They are truly a whole other level of human beings.
