What Our Travelers Say
Unforgettable journeys leave lasting impressions, and we’re proud to have received over 10,000 reviews from hikers, adventurers, and families who’ve trusted us with their TreXperience. Each review—positive or not—helps us understand what we’re doing well and where we can improve. We truly value this feedback and sincerely thank everyone who’s taken the time to share their experience.
We’ve just finished the four-day trek with Amadeo and Luis Miguel and genuinely couldn’t have asked for better guides. Amadeo, an archaeologist, led the group and brought the perfect mix of knowledge, stories and plenty of jokes along the way. Luis Miguel stayed towards the back of the group and was an absolute lifesaver whenever anyone was struggling. Both were brilliant at what they do, incredibly friendly, and made the whole experience perfect for us. Couldn’t recommend them or the trek highly enough!
View full reviewI booked the 4-day Salkantay trekking + Machu Picchu last minute. The admin team sent several messages regarding the packing list and answered my questions before my departure. But what made the trip special and truly memorable was the tour guide and the entire supply and support team during the trip, and how they helped and supported everyone, including me, a slower trekker. Someone always stayed behind and stayed with me when I fell behind. Always kindness and encouragement, from all support teams and of course the trekking team. The food was plenty and delicious! I almost cried in (happy) tears when we received a hot coca tea and a sandwich at the highest point of the trekking. What a treat at 4640m! Our tour guide, Roger, who is very knowledgeable about Inca culture, a great story teller and a fun person, we were very lucky to have him as our guide! He also helped maximize our time spent at Machu Picchu and enjoyment at the site, and also retrieved my jacket forgotten at the hotel😂. A shout out to Chef Ferdinand, William and especially lead guide Roger Carlsin, thank you for this wonderful experience!

View full reviewA wonderful experience. A well-organized tour. A professional guide. An incredible team
View full reviewI had an excellent experience with TreXperience on the 2-day Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu and would absolutely recommend them. From the beginning, everything was extremely well organized. Communication before the trek was clear, transportation and logistics ran smoothly, and I always knew what to expect next. With all of the trains, permits, luggage arrangements, hotel logistics, and timing involved, TreXperience made the entire experience very easy. Our primary guide, Alex, and assistant guide, Balvino, were fantastic throughout the trek. They kept everything moving at a comfortable pace, shared a lot of great information about the history and sites along the way, and gave us plenty of time to enjoy the scenery, take photos, and experience the trail without ever feeling rushed. The hike itself was one of the highlights of my entire trip to Peru. This was my first real hiking experience, and the route from KM 104 through Wiñay Wayna and into Machu Picchu was incredible. Arriving at the Sun Gate and seeing Machu Picchu for the first time after hiking there made the experience feel completely different from simply arriving by bus or train. One of the biggest surprises was the food. Our chef, Cinchi, did an amazing job. There was always plenty to eat, the meals were much better than I expected to have on a hiking trip, and from what I could see along the trail, I honestly felt like our group was eating better than groups traveling with some of the other companies. The quality and amount of food really stood out. The group size was also great, and the entire experience felt well paced and personal. The second day at Machu Picchu was a great complement to the hike and gave us the opportunity to explore the site in much more detail. What stood out most was how easy TreXperience made everything surrounding the actual hike. I was able to focus on enjoying the experience rather than worrying about transportation, tickets, timing, meals, or logistics. The Short Inca Trail ended up being one of my favorite experiences in Peru and may have even convinced me to do more hiking trips in the future. Huge thanks to Alex, Balvino, Cinchi, and the entire TreXperience team for making it such a memorable experience.
