On September 25th, the Embassy of Peru in Poland organized a special cooking class about Peruvian ceviche during the "Crossways: Go South" fair. The guests included chefs from big restaurants and hotels in Warsaw, as well as food journalists.
During the event, Peruvian chefs Aldo Herrera and René Villalba showed everyone the ingredients and how to prepare this famous Peruvian dish.
In addition to the cooking class, the Embassy teamed up with IMEX South America to hold a wine tasting event called "Wines from the South." The people who came got to try different brands and types of wine from Peru. This event helped show the rich variety of wines Peru has to offer.
During the event, Luis Gonzalo Cieza, who is the business representative of Peru in Poland, talked about how important ceviche and pisco are to Peru's identity. He explained that these products are not only a big part of Peruvian food culture, but they also have a lot of cultural value that should be known in Europe.
Both the ceviche and Peruvian wines caught the attention of the guests, who were eager to learn more about Peruvian food. This event aims to introduce Peruvian cuisine and products to international markets, highlighting the quality and authenticity of their food.
