Lima has become an international culinary reference due to the richness and diversity of its gastronomy, which fuses ancestral culinary traditions with contemporary innovation.

The Cool List 2024 article highlights the worldwide recognition Lima enjoys for its exquisite and varied culinary offer and its incomparable participation in the World's 50 Best Restaurants Awards 2023, where it was the only city with two places in the top 10 thanks to the fusion of Maido's Nikkei cuisine and Central, which won first place for its innovative approach with ingredients from the region.

Not only the Peruvian haute cuisine is highlighted, but also the boom of rooftop or terrace bars in bohemian and exclusive areas such as the districts of Barranco and Miraflores.

This inclusion in the National Geographic list reflects Lima's international recognition as a must-see destination for lovers of good food, culture, and tourism, consolidating its position as an exciting and attractive place to visit in the coming year.

The news includes an exciting fact for travelers interested in visiting this culinary jewel: Lima will be even more accessible as of December of this year, as LATAM Airlines will fly directly from Heathrow (London) up to five times a week.
