From April 10th to 20th, Ayacucho invites you to witness one of the most important holy weeks in Peru and the world: Ayacucho’s Holy Week 2025. During these days, the city streets are illuminated by incense, songs of faith, and the participation of thousands of people, all paying homage to the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Christ.

These are the main activities during the Ayacucho holy week of 2025.

  • Passion Thursday: April 10, Mass in honor of the image of Christ the Savior of the World and procession of the image.
  • Passion Friday: April 11, Mass and procession of the images of the Lord of Agony and the Virgin of Sorrows.
  • Passion Saturday: April 12, Mass and procession of the image of the Lord of the Vine.
  • Palm Sunday: April 13, procession of the image of the Lord of Palms around the main square of Ayacucho, similar to Cusco and its Lord of Tremors.
