Cusco's popularity as a tourist destination has resonated so strongly that international visitors are eager to return.

Recent data from the Velasco Astete International Airport shows a 3% increase in tourist arrivals, signaling a hopeful tourism revival.

During the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum held in Urubamba, with previous events in Arequipa, Minister Galdo highlighted a significant 50% increase in tourist arrivals from member countries compared to last year. This surge is attributed to strategies implemented to revitalize the sector after the devastating impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cusco's popularity as a tourist destination has resonated so strongly that international visitors are eager to return. Notably, the capacity at Machu Picchu Sanctuary has increased from 4,500 to 5,600 daily visitors, and three new tourist routes have been established to distribute visitor flow and preserve heritage evenly.

This resurgence represents not only an economic recovery but also an opportunity to reaffirm Cusco's commitment to sustainability and the preservation of its cultural legacy for future generations.
