Demand for tickets to Inti Raymi, one of Peru's most iconic celebrations, has reached 75%, with all tickets for the first performance at Coricancha completely sold out.
According to the Municipal Festival Company of Cusco (Emufec), demand for Inti Raymi tickets has hit 75%, with no remaining tickets for the initial performance at Coricancha.
The event, celebrated annually on June 24 in Cusco, recreates Inca ceremonies in honor of the Sun God and draws thousands of both domestic and international tourists. This year, all 350 tickets for the first scene at the Coricancha temple have sold out.
Regarding the significant performance on the esplanade of the Sacsayhuaman archaeological park, 95% of the "orange" seats, located in premium areas, have been purchased. The "green" seats, which offer a panoramic view of the event, have reached 50% of their capacity, while the "red" seats, with more limited visibility, are 10% sold.
"The Inti Raymi is not only a fascinating spectacle that showcases the richness of our Andean culture but also boosts the local economy by attracting visitors from around the world," explained the president of Emufec.
Emufec advises those interested in attending this masterful presentation to purchase their tickets in advance to avoid any inconvenience. The remaining seats are expected to sell out quickly in the coming weeks.
