"The Caral Archaeological Zone is committed to responsible tourism and overcoming poverty. Local residents are trained as guides, and they support non-industrialized agriculture. Events with camps are held to preserve northern Peru’s cultural heritage while boosting the local economy," the article states.

It also emphasizes the knowledge of the ancient Caral Civilization in science and technology, noting its peaceful nature. "The inhabitants excelled as astronomers, doctors, musicians, craftsmen, stonemasons, farmers, and fishermen. Artifacts from Ecuador and the Amazon show widespread trade. However, no traces of weapons or defensive structures have been found: this peaceful civilization was not driven by conquest," it adds.

The article continues by detailing some of the festivals and cultural activities celebrated in the area, such as Áspero Raymi in April, Vichama Raymi in August, and Caral Raymi in October. It even mentions ancestral rituals like the offerings to Pachamama and Cochamama.

For those interested in exploring the Caral Route, the Caral Archaeological Zone organizes full-day tours every two weeks. Tourists can visit two ancient urban centers. The next tour is scheduled for September 29, with destinations including the Sacred City of Caral and Vichama.
