From October 21 to 26, two important events will take place in Arequipa: Perú Moda Deco and Alpaca Fiesta. These events will be held at the Cerro Juli Fairgrounds and will bring together Peruvian exporters and international buyers in the fashion and decoration sectors to create business connections.
On October 23 and 24, the business roundtable of Perú Moda Deco will take place alongside Alpaca Fiesta. Buyers from countries like the United States, Italy, France, Canada, and Brazil are expected to attend.
During the event, these buyers will meet with representatives from 153 Peruvian companies. These companies will offer products like cotton clothing for adults, babies, and children, alpaca garments, decoration items, and gifts. There will also be products from local brands.
Notable participants include representatives from major international brands such as Christian Dior, Maison Kitsuné, Balmain, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo, and MM Lafleur. They will explore Peru's export offerings in fashion and decoration.
It’s worth mentioning that this is the first time Perú Moda Deco and Alpaca Fiesta will be held together in Arequipa, making it a special edition. Perú Moda Deco is being held outside Lima for the first time, and both events are happening together and in person.
PROMPERÚ organizes Perú Moda Deco, which is the main business platform for the fashion, decoration, and gift industries in Peru. Alpaca Fiesta, organized by the International Alpaca Association (AIA), is the most important event in the alpaca world, aiming to promote Peruvian alpaca fiber as one of the best in the world.
This year, the two events come together to boost business opportunities and strengthen commercial connections. Activities will include alpaca and llama competitions, factory visits, academic forums, and fashion shows. "Peru Textiles," showcasing companies from Gamarra and Chincha, and the "Young Creators for the World" contest will also take place. Additionally, the international "Alpaca Awards" contest will be held.
Perú Moda Deco 2024 will also feature a food area called "Perú Mucho Gusto," organized by PROMPERÚ. Here, exhibitors will offer traditional Arequipa dishes and pisco-based drinks, delighting international buyers and visitors from all over the country.
