We had a really nice experience with our tour guides JJ and William. JJ has told us a lot about the different places we have visited during the hike. The tour in general was it really worth especially since we have seen the place Winaywayna which we would not have seen only by visiting the Machu Picchu.

JJ and William were great tour guides. I’m very slow and they would regularly let me know that they want me to enjoy and not rush. One would be with the normal paced group and one would walk in the back with me. I appreciated them very much. All the food was delicious for all meals. JJ does a great job setting expectations and making sure we understand where to go and when. He has eyes in the back of his head and knows where every one of us are at all times.

This was an amazing experience for my family. Our guides, Edy and David were phenomenal. They provided history lessons and shared their knowledge of Inkan culture throughout the trek as well as a positive attitude and encouragement. The food was delicious! We are all vegetarian and my son is vegan and there were more than enough options for us all. We were very impressed with the gourmet meals that the chefs were able to prepare at the campsites. The tents and sleeping bags were clean and comfortable. The porters make everything so easy for you.

The Inca Trail is simply one of those experiencies that a outdoor and sports lover must have in their live! The beauty, the Inca ruins, the landscapes, the hardships that come with a challenge at the end of each day (it IS a very hard trail, I'd not recommend it for beginners on either camping, trekking, or altitude outdoor activities). Everything is simply breathtaking. I'd advise to bring EVERYTHING that TreXperience advices to bring, and MORE, since each element counts. For out part, I travelled with my best friend and we had an amazing time with our group (mainly americans, Norwegians and an Argentinian), and I specially want to say thanks to our guides, the wonderful Walter Elvis and the incredibly and funny David "Chikiruntu"… they were the soul of our trip. As always, a word of warning: this is a high altitude trek. Always be prepared for altitude sickness, bring your own meds and oximeter, and always take it SLOW. The altitude can be treacherous.
