TreXperience is a Cusco-based local tour company owned by Priscila and Juan Coronel, both born in the village of Cachiccata in the Ollantaytambo district. When you book with TreXperience, you will hire a Local Tour Operator, a Local Guide, a Local Chef, and local Suppliers.

You will learn more about culture, landscape, and wildlife from a local. In addition, most of your money will be spent in local communities.

Responsible Travel

The tourism industry has the potential to do so many good things. It can benefit local people and the places we visit. During our tours

1.- We hire porters, chefs, guides, and the local people are the suppliers of food and mules to carry food during our tours. This will have a positive impact on the local economy.

2.- Our trekking tours include comfortable tents to reduce carbon emissions and increase the positive impact on nature during our journey. We are constantly working on reducing plastic and using buildings with electricity. Our campsites are closer to nature to have an authentic camping and trekking experience with tents and solar hot showers.

3.- Our philosophy is to “leave no trace” in every place we visit. We encourage our employees, tour guides, and guests to follow these principles to preserve these magical places.

Fairtreatmet to Porters!

We will provide you with the best guides, porters, and chefs during our tours. Porters are the backbone of our business, and we have been fighting for fair treatment and better working conditions for them since I started working as a porter. My father was a porter also, and we worked together from 2003 to 2006.

We provide homestay in Cusco and Ollantaytambo to our porters from far away. We also offer full uniforms, tents, shoes, and insurance. We are one of the few companies that pay proper wages (The highest salaries to our porters).

Our Porters will carry all the equipment and food during our trekking tours; without them is not possible to complete treks like the Classic Inca Trail. TreXperience porters have a high salary, and you will see them clearly with the best equipment, their own tent, and the best food, and they are the happiest porters. It is worth mentioning that TreXperience provides insurance for all our staff, appropriate equipment, and porter tents.

Women empowerment!

We include female staff in all our operations; 70% of our office staff is women. We hire female porters, chefs, and guides. We are hiring female porters and training them to become leaders, chefs, and tour guides.

Best of Peruvian Food!

The food on our tours is another attraction. Our expert trekking chefs will prepare fantastic meals using fresh local products. We prepare Pachamanca barbecue in all our Alternative treks. Also, we have vegetarian, gluten-free, and other dietary requirements.

TreXperience is proud of its highly talented trekking chefs, who never fail to cook a delightful feast despite being in the Andean Mountains! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided each day (except lunch on the final day), and the food is both delicious and plentiful. We cater to all dietary requirements in the Inca Trail tours, so please let us know your needs. We will keep those energy levels high with snacks each day, and we make sure you have tea/coffee every morning to wake up and every afternoon to unwind.

Panoramic Trains are Included in all our tours!

We include the panoramic trains during the Inca Trail, Salkantay Trek, and Lares Trek returning from Aguas Calientes to Cusco. After the long journey through the mountains to Machu Picchu, you will board the exclusive trains and enjoy the best views of the Urubamba River and Machu Picchu Canyon.

TreXperience will provide you with door-to-door service during all our tours; we will pick you up from your hotel on the morning of the tour and return you to your hotel on the last day. Include all transportation needed for the entire trip. TreXperience is the only company that offers panoramic trains for most of our group and private tours.
