Even though our TreXperience tour (Machu Picchu by Car via Hidroelectrica) is still a few weeks away in Sep 2026, I want to leave this review about my booking experience and how wonderful the TreXperience travel advisors were in terms of crafting our private itinerary, suggesting various alternatives, being very flexible when I wanted to tweak details (like upgrading our class of hotel, booking a different train than the one listed in the tour, etc), and responding very promptly to my questions and requests for information. Specifically, I’d like to mention two travel advisors that worked with me - Acdiel Huallpa and Jousthy Huarachi. It was such a pleasure dealing with them - they were very helpful, polite, and clear in their communications. It looks like TreXperience employs good people and I’m excited about my forthcoming tour with them.
View full reviewKatie was the best guide ever. She was so knowledgeable about the Inca culture and was amazing story telling that had us grasping to every single word. I would only book again if I get to have Katie guide us again.

View full reviewA wonderful experience. A well-organized tour. A professional guide. An incredible team
View full reviewObviously the weather played a critical part in our booked trek but I will say that TreXperience did a great job pivoting to give us a great experience. My only challenge with the whole event was that when I booked the tour we were going to be in a group of 12 and we felt excluded from the group experience with just the 3 of us and a guide. It didn't seem to make sense to us that there was a group of 16 and a group of 3. This made the tipping of guides, porters and chefs unfair and the only difference between us all was that we booked the additional hike in Machupicchu. With the weather breaking the trip apart we got to spend alot of time with the other group and that worked out very well.

View full reviewWe first started speaking with TreXperience when we reached out to a number of companies about organising our Inca Trail trek as part of our 10-year anniversary fundraising challenge. From the very beginning, the team were incredibly helpful, accommodating and responsive. Their communication was fantastic throughout the entire planning process, which gave us so much confidence in what was going to be a huge challenge for our group. Fast forward to the trek itself, and we had a group of 16 people, ranging from their 20s to their 70s. Every single one of us had the most incredible experience. The hike itself was absolutely stunning, challenging and something we will never forget. But what really made the experience so special were the people behind it. Our guides, Renato, Alberto and Nhoi, were incredibly knowledgeable, empathetic and, most importantly, so much fun to be around. They supported everyone at their own pace, encouraged us when things got tough and made the entire experience so enjoyable. And then there was the food! Our chef and his team were unbelievable. With a group of 16 people and a number of dietary requirements, we honestly didn’t know what to expect — but we were fed like kings and queens every single day. The meals were incredible and somehow they managed to keep surprising us throughout the trek. Every time we arrived at camp, everything was already set up and ready for us. The porters would be there waiting, clapping and cheering us into camp, and their hard work behind the scenes was something we will always be incredibly grateful for. From the first conversation to the final steps of the Inca Trail, TreXperience made an experience of a lifetime even more special. We couldn’t recommend the team highly enough. Thank you to Renato, Alberto, Nhoi, our amazing chef and his team, and every single porter who helped make our trek one we will never forget. ❤️
