This was a great tour. Our day one instructor - Frank - was very knowledgeable and gave a great balance of information and time for self exploration throughout the Sacred Valley. We loved the amount of places visited. Beware day 2&3 you will join a different group - we were not aware of this until Frank dropped us off at our Hotel in Ollantaytambo on night one and said goodbye. Day 2 we met our next 2 instructors - Gary & Fernando. These guys are great guides, Nando kept the hike moving and a great pace which we loved. Gary provided great information at all sites along the way - he was awesome! The meals included on this day were all fantastic and exceeded our expectations. Hotel accom also exceeded expectations on night 2. Very happy. Day 3 was when we got to go into Machu Picchu, Gary provided even more great information. My partner and I had booked the extra hike up Wayna Picchu last minute. I suggest you ask the guides about this at the time of booking and add on if fit. My partner and I got to the top in 30 minutes. We then headed back to town to have lunch and begin the journey back. Strangely lunch was organised for us on the last day, however it is not included in the tour price so beware. I would suggest this be made more clear to the guests. The journey back does not begin until a 3:50 train from Aguas Calientes. We didn’t get to our hotel in Cusco until after 8pm, quite a long day after the 5:30am start! Overall, a great tour with even better guides. I would suggest that there be options for an earlier departure on the final day if desired. Seeing as though we didn’t get to pick the lunch restaurant and then had to pay, we would have preferred to pick our own and make our way back to Cusco earlier. Definitely recommend!
View full reviewWe did the 2-day Short Inca Trail with TreXperience and it was amazing! Nilton, our guide, was fantastic—super knowledgeable and made the history come alive to the 7 of us in the group. Day one was a train ride to the drop off location where we hopped of the train and were provided with a great breakfast from the chef and crew who had already setup the breakfast area. We then hiked to Wiñaywayna a true wonder which is only accessible by trek and possibly the highlight of the trek. Again fabulous Peruvian dishes provide by the chef and team for lunch before heading off to the Sun Gate for that first magical view of Machu Picchu and then continued down to the terraces for more spectacular views before a bus back to Agia Cervantes accommodation and dinner at a local restaurant. Day two was back to Machu Picchu via bus this time for a second circuit through Machu Picchu historic buildings. Nilton’s tour was detailed and engaging. After the tour a bus back to Aqua Cervantes where we had time for a soothing massage and lunch (not part of the package) before heading back on the panoramic train which was included. Everything was well organized, the food was delicious, and the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend TreXperience and Nilton!

View full reviewThe 5-Day Salkantay Trek with TreXperience was the adventure of a lifetime. Our guide, Anthony, didn’t just lead us, he cared for us like family. He kept the group safe, set a perfect pace, and shared stories and insights that made the Andes come alive. Every day felt thoughtfully planned and joyfully executed. A huge shout-out to our chefs, Ismael and Tibu, who turned camp meals into something we looked forward to! Every day fresh, delicious, and amazing! The effort this team poured into our experience was obvious in the big things (safety, logistics, comfort) and the small touches that made us feel seen and taken care of. Unforgettable from start to finish. If you’re considering a guided trek, stop searching and book TreXperience and if given the chance ask for Anthony! You’ll be in the best hands. Thank you for making our Peru trip unique, personal, and truly memorable.
View full reviewIt’s hard to put into words how extraordinary our luxury Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu truly was. From the moment we were met in Cusco by our guides and support team, we knew this was going to be something special, not just a hike, but a deeply moving, flawlessly orchestrated journey through history, nature, and culture. Every detail had been thought of. Our guides were knowledgeable, full of warmth and humor, weaving stories of Incan engineering, ancient rituals, and mountain legends into each day’s trek. They had a sense for when to pause for photos, when to rest, and when to simply stand in silence as the clouds rolled across the Andes. The staff, the team of porters, chefs, and support crew were nothing short of heroic. Somehow, while we hiked with light packs, they would race ahead to set up an immaculate campsite! Reaching Machu Picchu on the final day felt like the culmination of something much greater than a hike, it was a pilgrimage. Our guides secured the perfect timing to enter through the Sun Gate just as the first light hit the citadel. This journey exceeded every expectation of comfort, care, and connection. The professionalism and heart of every guide, porter, chef, and organizer turned a challenging trek into an unforgettable, soul-stirring experience. If you’re dreaming of the Inca Trail and want to do it in absolute style and comfort, this is the team to trust.

Knowledgeable and friendly guides (Jason and Evangelino), great food (especially nice to have a hot meal on the trek), convenient transportation, and an incredible experience on the Inca Trail and at Machu Picchu. Great experience. While visiting the Inca sites and hiking over the original Inca trail you are able to experience the history of this culture in a unique way. I also really enjoyed how the nature gradually changed from a dry mountain climate to the cloud forrest. Filio is a excellent tour guide and was able to explain us a lot about the nature, the history and the culture. The accomodation in the tends was very good and the food was incredibly good.
