Tuboleto.cultura.pe: Record 300,000 tickets sold for Machu Picchu and Kuelap

Amazonas and Cusco, Peru. Since its launch on August 3, the virtual platform tuboleto.cultura.pe has sold nearly 300,000 tickets for the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail network, as well as over 3,000 tickets for the Kuelap Monumental Archaeological Complex.

From August 3 to October 15, 278,549 e-tickets were purchased for Machu Picchu and Inca Trail in Peru, 30% by Peruvian citizens and 70% by international tourists. The platform currently has 204,927 additional tickets available through December 31, and the Ministry of Culture encourages visitors to plan their trips.

Growing interest in Kuelap

The Kuelap Monumental Archaeological Complex has also seen strong interest in the Amazonas region. Since ticket sales opened on the platform on October 1, 3,077 tickets have been sold, with 90% purchased by national visitors and 10% by foreign travelers. Daily visits are limited to 432 people, allowing guests access to the central llaqta to enjoy panoramic views of the main temple and the area’s rich biodiversity.

Customer support and security enhancements

The Ministry of Culture has set up the “Tu Boleto” customer support line for questions and suggestions, available every day from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. through phone numbers (01) 321 5555 (within Peru) and +51 1 321 5555 (international), and by email at tuboleto@cultura.gob.pe. This service offers assistance in Spanish, English, Italian, and Portuguese.

The tuboleto.cultura.pe platform aims to simplify access to the main archaeological sites of Peru, ensuring secure entry controls by connecting with databases from Reniec, Migraciones, Mincetur, and Sernanp.
