Machu Picchu: Changes to tolerance times during high season

They have updated the protocols for managing visits to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, introducing a significant change in the tolerance times for entry. According to the new regulations published today, visitors will now have a tolerance of up to 45 minutes from their scheduled entry time during the high season, an increase from the previously established 30 minutes for any season.

This change addresses concerns raised by tour operators about the logistical challenges they face due to the high flow of tourists, especially during the busiest months. In the low season, the 30-minute tolerance will remain.
