Machu Picchu: Tickets sold out until the end of the month during peak season

High tourist demand during peak season has led to tickets for Machu Picchu Peru being sold out until the end of the month.

The official platform, “tuboleto. culture.pe,” managed by the Ministry of Culture, handles the sale of tickets for Machu Picchu. Due to the surge in tourism during peak season, the most popular routes, such as the “Classic Designed” and “Wayna Picchu,” have sold out weeks in advance, highlighting the strong interest in visiting the Inca citadel.

Currently, tickets for the “classic designed” route are sold out until September 21, and those for “Wayna Picchu” are unavailable until August 31. Additionally, other routes like “Upper Terrace,” “Inca Bridge,” “Lower Terrace,” and “Huchuy Picchu” are not available until mid-August, showing the high demand for exploring this UNESCO World Heritage site.

The platform “tuboleto.cultura.pe” offers 4,600 daily tickets to the public, but an additional 1,000 tickets are also available for purchase in person at the Aguas Calientes Cultural Center. These tickets are subject to availability and are sold on-site.
