Full Itinerary of The Women’s Only Inca Trail To Machu Picchu

Day 1: Cusco – Km 82 – Wayllabamba

Early transfer to km 82, the beginning of the Inca Trail. Once you pass the checkpoint, hike along the Urubamba River for 4 hours to the first Inca Site of Llaqtapata, where your expert trekking chef serves a delicious lunch. After enjoying your fresh meals, hike upstream along the Cusichaca River to the village of Wayllabamba. Camping is near the local houses.

Women's Only Inca Trail Tours

 Day 2: Wayllabamba – Dead Women’s Pass – Pacaymayo

Wake up in your tent with freshly brewed coffee and prepare for the most challenging day. After breakfast, start with a 6-hour hike to the highest pass in the Inca Trail: Dead Woman’s Pass or Warmiwañusca (4200 m / 13,779 ft). Once you reach the top, you will have time to admire the Andes’ wonderful view and descend for 2 hours into the second campsite at Pacaymayo Valley (3600m / 11811 ft).

Only Women Inca Trail

Day 3: Chaquicocha – Intipata – Wiñaywayna

After a delicious breakfast, start a 2-hour ascent to the second pass at Runcuracay (4000 m / 13123 ft). Then, continue for 2 hours into the cloud forest for lunch at Chaquicocha. Along the way, you will visit the impressive Inca sites of Runccuracay and Sayamarka. After Lunch, Hike for 4 hours down to the next campsite at Wiñaywayna (2600m – 8530ft); you’ll visit the Inca sites of Phuyupatarmaka, Intipata, and Wiñaywayna.

Approximate time: 8 hours
Campsite Altitude: 2600m – 8530ft
Maximum Altitude Point: 4,000 (13,123 ft)

Ladies Only Inca trail to Machu Picchu

Day 4: Discover Machu Picchu

You will start with a 1-hour early hike towards IntiPunku (2700m -8858ft), Also Called Sungate, where you will catch your first glimpse of the mysterious Lost Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu. After enjoying the sunrise, start descending to the archeological complex for another hour. Your tour guide will take you on a tour exploring the most beautiful and important places of Machu Picchu. Next is free time to explore by yourself or take the extra hike to Huayna Picchu (not included) before taking the Vistadome train back to Ollantaytambo and then a private van back to your hotel.
