Cusco hosted the Adidas Andes Race 2025 in its 10th edition, together with Marca Perú

Peru welcomed over a thousand runners, locals and visitors, for the 10th Adidas Andes Race, held from August 27 to 30 in Cusco, Peru’s historic capital.

Recognized among the continent’s most prestigious mountain races, the event strengthens the country’s position as a go-to destination for nature and high-Andes experiences. A clear example is the classic trekking route of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.

The official Marca Peru seal accompanied the event, which in previous editions drew athletes from several continents to traverse age-old paths and Andean landscapes above 4,500 meters. This international turnout connected sport, culture, and strategic destinations across the country.

Organized by Andes Race with support from Promperú and Adidas, the race featured information areas showcasing Peru’s adventure and nature destinations, cultural and artistic activations that highlighted national diversity, and a Promperú zone with informational materials, merchandise, and superfood tastings. In addition, services were available to support runners and their teams, aiming for a safe, well-rounded experience.

Promperú’s involvement aligns with a diversification strategy focused on markets such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Brazil. According to 2024 figures, 61% of international visitors engaged in adventure activities, mainly trekking and mountaineering, showing sustained interest in this segment.
