First time hikers with an unforgettable experience

Trip specifics: Private, Luxury service for 2 This was our first hike ever as a couple, but the care and assurances provided by Jose and his team during our hike blew away any doubts or concerns we had prior to the trip (including my wife's pescatarian diet). It certainly was an indelible, incredible experience that we now hold very fondly of. Like everyone else, I wasn't sure which company to pick (and i'm certain there are many decent ones out there). However, what very quickly helped narrow my search to Trexperience, was the initial responses by Janet, (unlike most of her peers, who gave very generic cookie cutter responses) to my specific queries about the costings and considerations for the various hiking options. She was responsive even when i texted her outside of what i would consider of stretched working hours. One week prior to our trip, our flight out of Cusco was brought forward by LATAM 5 hours earlier. Janet very quickly helped to coordinate our train trip back from Aguas Calientes earlier so that we could catch our flight back. Jose was the main guide assigned to us and we couldn't have asked for a better one. He's full of knowledge across the region's history, botany and was very patient when we peppered him with our inquisitive questions, answering every single one. He was constantly checking in on us, making sure we were comfortable with the pace and reminding us to put on sun block (your skin will thank you for that!) The assistant guide, whom we referred affectionately to as "David Cha", was witty with a dry sense of humour which made our hike even more enjoyable. He made sure my wife and I were always safe by bringing up the rear, constantly catching us when we occasionally tripped or slipped during the more challenging trails. However, the one thing that impressed us most was when both guides picked up litter left by others on many occasions, preserving the cleanliness of the natural landscape. Food quantity was more than ample and were impressed by the quality of food. They even bothered to plate the dishes! We were always in good hands and couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Machu Picchu: Inca Trail hike 4 days & Vistadome Train

This was one of the hardest challenges I have personally faced and TreXperience made the journey so much easier. The Chef, Sous chef, Head Porter and Porter gang themselves were absolutely incredible. Highly recommend hiking the Inka Trail to Machu Pichu with this company. Food was incredible and plentiful (Big Thanks to "Alejandro" and "Bruno") Dan "The Legend" Tour guide was knowledgeable and funny, a brilliant guide to have with many stories and motivational speeches. Guide Assistant "Rayo" was always cheerful and trying his best to keep people moving and motivated for the long walks (at your own pace as well, not pressured once). Everything was explained day in and day out with no confusion and all in all it was a great experience. The Porters carried all additional personal belongings, clothes and extras in the duffle bags as well as all the food and necessary camp gear that make the journey easier, its amazing what they do. Massive thanks to them and Head Porter "Alfredo". So big, big thank you for this comapny for making this happen!!!

Private Single Tent

As this Review is requested for tje private Single tent- I highly recommend those for any solo travellers. All the acommodations were pretty spacious and comfortable. Only in one campside we had some issues due to the occopancy but that could have been solved quickly trough Our guides and let everybody happy.

Amazing Machu Picchu tour!!

Gregory was great! Lots of knowledge, went the extra mile when we hit speed bumps, and lots of local knowledge. He also took great photos of us. The day went very smoothly because of him.

Ultimate Salkantay Trek 5 days to Machu Picchu

The trip was very good organized from the beginning, where we had always a contact person on hand. Our guides did an amazing job, so that also some slower hikers felt comfortable and if there were some needs,they were on zhe scene to help.food and accomodation were fantastic! Thank you so so much to All the hard working men in the background! Best experience for Inca Trail

The trail was very well organized, our both tour guides, Nilton and Evan were excellent, caring, they had great knowledge about Inca sites and history, even about the plants! The staff made our trail very comfy and unforgettable, the food was amazing! Thank you Trexperience!

Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in 2 Days

I had a great time doing the short inca trail. Also big thanks to Kate, our tour guide for sharing the history and giving a personal insight to the culture and spirituality of the incas. Enjoyed the food prepared by the chefs during the hike. Had a great team to hike up to macchu picchu with. Would definitely visit again and explore other parts of cusco with Trexperience.

extra 3 nights

This was a challenging and rewarding trip, overall, I thought it was great. The porters and guides did a great job and work very hard to ensure the customers are happy. The only issue I had was the night before the hike started many people were on a guided tour that did not return to Cusco until after 7PM. Then we had to go to orientation, and many people were very tired and had to get dinner and get packed before an early pickup at 4AM and a full day of hiking. My suggestion would be to eliminate one stop on this tour day to ensure hikers have enough time to prepare for the hike and get a good night’s sleep. Also, I think it is important to stress that hikers be fit before trying a hike like the Salkantay trail, I think some people think they will just “tough it out” but this trail requires a person to be physically and mentally fit. One other small issue, I thought I would be in a tent by myself, I remember specifically asking for this and was willing to pay more money. However, when we got out there, I found out I was not in a tent by myself. I was traveling with a companion so it was ok but if I was by myself, I would not have been happy to be in a tent with someone I don’t know. My suggestion is to make sure your customers understand what they are getting with regards to sleeping arrangements.
