As part of our commitment to the well-being of the TreXperience family, on September 30, 2026, we organized "Kuska Asirikusun, Smiling Together", an oral health campaign for our porters and their children.
Kuska Asirikusun, Smiling Together
The Kuska Asirikusun Dental Campaign took place at Primary School No. 50618 in the Patacancha Community about one hour from Ollantaytambo. The name Kuska Asirikusun, or Smiling Together, reflects the purpose of this special day: sharing, caring for one another, and smiling together.
At TreXperience, our porters are an essential part of our team. They help make many of the experiences our travelers enjoy in the mountains of Cusco possible. That is why our commitment to them goes beyond their work and includes important aspects of their well-being and that of their families.
On this occasion, the campaign welcomed both our porters and their children, providing dental checkups and care from four dental professionals during a day specially organized for them and their community.
Prevention and Education for Better Oral Health
An important part of the dental campaign focused on prevention. Along with the treatments provided, participants received practical advice on oral hygiene and simple care habits they can include in their daily routines.
This guidance helps children and adults better understand the importance of good oral hygiene habits and caring for their dental health before problems develop and require more extensive treatment.
A Day Dedicated to Caring for Every Smile
The day began with a dental evaluation for each participant. This initial checkup helped identify individual needs and determine the most appropriate type of care for each person.
Throughout the day, participants received oral hygiene guidance and different dental procedures based on their individual evaluations. The treatments provided included:
- Fluoride application.
- Dental sealants and ionomer application.
- Ionomer or resin restorations.
- Simple dental extractions.
At the end of the day, dental hygiene kits were distributed to complement the care and treatments provided during the campaign.

Kuska Asirikusun, Smiling Together, represents exactly that: moving forward together, caring for one another as a team, and continuing to create initiatives that make a positive difference in the lives of the people who are part of the TreXperience family.
