Cusco is set to host a new museum of the Tawantinsuyo, which will showcase the richness of inca culture following the national interest declaration.
The Minister of Culture, Leslie Urteaga, joined President Dina Boluarte Zegarra in signing the Supreme Decree that declares the investment project for the creation, construction, and implementation of the Museum of the Tawantinsuyo in Cusco as a national interest.
The Minister of Culture emphasized the importance of contributing to and initiating actions that will make this Museum of the Tawantinsuyo at the San Antonio Abad University in Cusco a reality and contribute to the research and promotion of Inca culture.
“The signing of the Supreme Decree for the construction of the research center and the National Museum of the Tawantinsuyu, a top-level facility, will allow us to access our legacy,” stated the minister.
“From #Mincul, we are facilitating the procedures to launch this project and carry out its construction. Thanks to the General Directorate of University Higher Education, the Ministry of Education of Peru, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Peru for their support of this important work,” she highlighted.
