On May 22, the International Women's Club of Canberra organized the "Latin American Day," an event that brought together a distinguished group of women with high political and social profiles, both Australian and international. The Embassy of Peru, along with the embassies of Chile, Cuba, Ecuador, Guatemala, Paraguay, and Uruguay, organized a fair showcasing the artisanal, cultural, and tourism wealth of these countries.

Visitors explored various tourist destinations across Peru, with information on iconic sites like Machu Picchu, the Peruvian Amazon, and northern beaches, highlighting the country's biodiversity and cultural richness.

The Embassy of Peru also offered a tasting of typical delicacies, such as alfajores, chocolates, Pisco Sour, and other snacks representative of Peruvian cuisine, which the attendees greatly appreciated. Additionally, the importance of textile culture in Peru, especially in the Sacred Valley, Cusco region, was highlighted. Traditional textiles, crafted with ancestral techniques, reflect the history and artistry of Andean communities.

Peru's participation in the "Latin American Day" received very positive feedback during and after the event, underscoring the positive impact of this activity on Peru's positioning in Australia. Events like this not only promote tourism but also strengthen cultural and economic ties between the two countries.
